Shambhunath Mahavidyalaya, Tinhari, Parsupur, Mau is committed to providing a safe, respectful, inclusive, and harassment-free environment for all students, teaching staff, non-teaching staff, and other members of the institution. To ensure this, the college has constituted an Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) in accordance with applicable guidelines and regulations.
The Internal Complaint Committee is responsible for addressing complaints related to sexual harassment and other forms of inappropriate behavior within the college premises. The Committee works with fairness, confidentiality, sensitivity, and impartiality while handling every complaint. It also aims to create awareness among students and employees regarding their rights, responsibilities, dignity, and workplace safety.
The Committee encourages any student or staff member who experiences or witnesses inappropriate conduct to approach the designated members without hesitation. Complaints are carefully examined and appropriate action is taken in accordance with institutional rules and applicable legal provisions. The identity and personal information of the complainant are treated with strict confidentiality throughout the process.
In addition to handling complaints, the Internal Complaint Committee organizes awareness activities, orientation programmes, seminars, and sensitization programmes to promote gender equality, mutual respect, professional ethics, and a healthy academic environment.
The objective of the Internal Complaint Committee is to ensure that every member of Shambhunath Mahavidyalaya can study and work with dignity, security, equality, and mutual respect.
